On Zhu Yuanzhang

Some background on Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang, so we understand why this tomb is such a big deal:
1. In 1368, Zhu Yuanzhang became the first emperor of the Ming dynasty, whose capital was to be Nanjing. His royal name was Emperor Hongwu.

This place is one of the treasures of the city. It contains memories that the people of this city feel really strongly about. On top of that, it underwent renovation about 2 years ago, and has very educational slant suited helping foreigners and people from other cities understand the meaning of the massacre to nanjingren.

Places to Go in the Fall
