9 People Left Stuff Behind »

  1. Love it! Never had a bad dish there, and I’ve tried a lot of them!

Of course it’s a little bit expensive for China, but still about 1/10th of the price of eating at a similar restaurant in America (which means about 1/100th the price of Europe, these days).

Also the pizza is not only the tastiest in Nanjing, but also the best value for “real” pizza.

I’d recommend bringing your own water though (if you can get past doing something tacky) because all they sell is the expensive, glass bottle stuff.

Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice.

    Great date spot!

  2. good point you have there, but perhaps she didn’t mean it that way and it just came out that way in english?
let’s not get acrimonious here. there’s been alot of talk about italian restaurants lately…
how about talking about music? like what you guys think of mazzo or
soho’s hip hop r&b music. These are places with less foreigners, and hence deserve a comment or two…

Or other types of food: estaminet’s ambience, swede & kraut

  3. Hey, if you like to read other peoples opinions of restaurants, then don’t read web articles about restaurants and don’t tell people to shut up just because you don’t agree with them. Not everyone can like Italian food you know. I happen to think Ciao Italia is excellent and I love going there, eating and chatting with Giussepe - but it’s not for everyone.

I’m guessing from your ‘English’ that you’re Italian, there’s also a good chance that you’re Giusseppe’s son? How so very typical of Italians to get very defensive of anything Italian. If you like it, that’s all that matters. Ciao.

  4. Please,if someone don’t understand about food….please shut up!!!!I ve been there maybe 4 days ago,and i go there very usually….i m sure that it s the best italian restaurant in nanjing, the best pizza and the best pasta!!!the mozzarella cheese is fantastic…and the limoncello too!!!!great giuseppi!!!

  5. Great Calzone, but not meaty enough. The dough-to-stuffing ratio is too high. Definitely need some better beer to appreciate the food more. Need a good baker too. The bread toasts don’t do the Italian tricks. Ciao!

  6. Nope…I’ll never go back again.

  7. I’ve been here, and eat mozzerella pennes… but I couldnt finish it, the mozzeralla was stuck all stuck at one piece… ( although its genourous to give much mozzeralla, put it in too early and it will be one piece again) and it was really too oily… I couldnt finish it, the amount of oil was simply too much especially afterhalf way… it was just oil left… Hope it was a one timer….

  8. I totally agree! Been there on wednesday for lunch with 2 friends. Great food (best pizza in town) and drinks (thx for the Prosecco and Limoncello ;-) ) Will be back soon.

  9. simply the best italian restaurant in nanjing……i suggest to every one to go there…..
