This shop is along the night-market alley next to Mcdonalds off Zhongshan South Road.

火腿 [huo2tui3] is translated as ‘fire limb’.

  1. 1) 火 is third tone, “huo3,” though it will be pronounced “huo2″ before 腿 tui3
    2) I believe 火腿 just means “ham,” so maybe this really is a true Chinese hamburger.

  2. ok, I tried the Burger King over by the Confucius Temple - it is just as lousy as in the USA !

  3. Hamburgers?

There’s a Burger King on the North side of the Confucius Temple area.

I haven’t tried it here, but the Shangrila Hotel in Fuzhou had really excellent burgers, easily the best I’ve had in China. 60 RMB if you got them in the restaurant, 45 if you had them delivered to the coffee area off the lobby.

Shangrila in Fuzhou also had an excellent lunch buffet at around 100. Do they do that at the one here?

  4. hmmmm, that’s a really good question. loads of pizza places here, but no burgers.

what about this (see this page) local version for now?

if there’s something else better, let us know!
