Nanjing Normal University is also called Nanshida 南师大 [nan2shi4da4]. It’s located along Ninghai Road 宁海路 [ning2hai3lu4] close to the junction with Hankou West Road 汉口西路 [han4kou3xi1lu4]. Mcdonald’s is very close by and is a prominent landmark.
If you’ve not been to this university, do check it out! You feel the calm walking amidst archaic structures and the greenery within which they reside…
Outside of the university compound, there are many things you can do. Besides buying odds and ends at the regular night market, you can try out a variety of local cuisine offered further down Ninghai Road, for example, John’s Pizza…
On Hankou West Road, there are many video shops where you can choose from a great selection of dvds and cds, for example the one that’s been marked out below…

it’s this dank and dreary place that has horrible weather and not many places to go to you learn to watch dvds for leisure and really don’t have that many places to dine at but the people here are swell.

Also, across the road from the main gate is Lazy Town (also called Laoban), where a bunch of foreigners usually hang out drinking cheap beer and discussing serious issues like existential philosophy, religion, women’s rights in the workplace, politics and what brand of orange juice is their favorite in Nanjing.
EH tong xue men … we will meet next Saturday 3 pm at our university field so we can make the Nanshida liu xue shen football team….
there is big korean population here. they write chinese good but pronounciate only okay. i think more people to meet in nanshida than nanda. nanda more american exchange programme..i think

American Football
the soccer field at Nanjing Normal University (on Ninghai Road) this Saturday from 1-3pm so that we can have a flag football game again.
The field costs 250rmb to reserve. maybe each person can pay 15rmb. If you don’t have it, just come out and play anyway for free. If you know others who want to play, please invite them.
