Purple Gold’s western trail

We recently explored the Western Trail for scaling Purple Gold Mountain.

We took a cab to the Taiping Gate Entrance of the Mountain. It’s also where the White Horse Park sits.

You’ll be walking up a road with vehicles running up and down. There’s also the option of walking on a wooden boardwalk that runs parallel on the left. On your right side should be the old Ming Wall. Keep walking up this road, with the wall on your right until you see a sign pointing left (as in the photo below)…

Make the left turn and continue walking on until you reach a fork…

What next? Either you’re a sissy and take the cable car, or you turn left onto the cobbled path. The entrance to the cable car station is where the red banner and the flight of stairs is.
