Liuhui Water Pavillion
Feb 27th, 2006 under Discover Nanjing
his is one place that locals know about, that foreigners miss out on. Liuhui Water Pavillion 流徽榭 [liu2hui4xie4] is further up along the mountain from the entrance to the Sun Yatsen Mausoleum. What’s nice about it is that you don’t have to pay for entry, but still am able to enjoy the natural environment it offers.
How to get there:
If you’re along the road where the bus runs to and from the mountain, walk further up and the Liuhui Water Pavillion will be on your left side. This is after the Musical Terrace 音乐台 [yin1yue4tai2]. You have to make a left, walk rather deep into this straight road, thereafter make a right and you’ll see a large green field on your right side.
Descend.
What to do:
You may join the rest of the people picnicking in during the spring and autumn months.

Or if you’re hot and tired upon arrival, there always the shade of the pavillion to keep you cool.

Beautiful, isn’t it? Read from right to left. Or you can admire the same pavillion from afar… : )

This place is peaceful and away from the throngs of people packing the nearby Sun Yatsen Mausoleum. A great place to pass a slow weekend - with the locals who know the hideouts worth going to.
[...] How about a place just as nice, but much less crowded? [...]
