I found this on the floor of the 百脑汇 [bai2nao3hui4] building. If memory does not fail me, this place has 3 floors. The second floor sells alot of mp3 players as well as external hard drives, printers etc and is the most crowded. The 3rd floor is a more serious place selling computers and bigger ticket items.
百脑汇 [bai2nao3hui4] where you can go searching for electronic stuff, compare prices and lose yourself amongst the different brands of mp3 players. It is located along Zhujiang Road and they are even represented at the Zhujiang Road Website.
How to get there?
As described in another post, Zhujiang Road is represented by the bold black line. 百脑汇 [bai2nao3hui4] is located somewhat at the middle of the bold black line, between 进香河路 [jin4xiang1he2lu4] and 太平北路 [tai4ping2bei3lu4], on the left side if you are coming from the left side of the map.
…it seems like too much hassle and you’re never more than 5 minutes walk from a print-shop who’ll print your documents at 0.20RMB per page - unless you need it regularly e.g. for work then just use the print-shops.
i want to commend the guy at this store for helping out. it’s the store on the second floor of buynow: when you reach the top of escalator and arrive on the second floor, it’s the HP distributor that you see on the right side. they do printers mainly. i don’t quite like the boss but MR. Wu Shuang is very good.
I had a printer cartridge progblem and another store said the only solution was to buy a new one. That would cost 173 yuan,,,, that the price they quoted. Instead Mr. Wu solved the problem for me, and charged me 20yuan. I paid him 30 and bought more stuff from the store.

‘Buy Now’ has been around for years - I remember going there more than 7 years ago and it was a thriving place then. There’s more than one place like that on Zhujiang Road - if you walk the length of the road you’ll come across a few of these multi-story shopping malls, some better than others. I think the biggest and newest one is on the corner of Taiping Bei Lu (Shown running north/south in the centre of the map above).
As for prices, well as usual you’ll get ripped off at every shop - if you let them. Best idea is to check the internet for prices of the printers you want and use that as a reference. Good brand name printers are about the same price here as they are in big electronics malls in the USA, maybe slightly cheaper, but not much. Be VERY careful about buying printer cartridges - I’d guess about 90% of the ones they try and sell you will be refilled and repackaged and they won’t last you very long.
If you’re ever in Shanghai - there’s a Best Buy down there where the prices are fixed (just a thought).
if you go up to the second flr of bainaohui, walk straight ahead and you’ll come to this shop selling HP stuff. that’s where i got my printer cartridges and the ink.
ink costs 30yuan for a syringe. for three cartridges full of ink.
about printers, if you gonna print alot, but a laser printer. it’s worth the extra you come up with initially. inkjet cartridges use themselves up within 100 prints.
