Cannot Enter Net?

Mar 30th, 2006 under Internet

Sometimes when it seems that both your Modem and Broadband Router are working fine, you still cannot enter the net. What can you try to solve the problem?

One way I solved the problem was to enter my Router Web Manager. The guy who set up the router for you probably also used it to get you started. There are also instructions in your router guide book on how to get in, but I’ll just give a simple run through from what i did.

1. I entered my Router Web Manager by typing http://192.168.1.1/ at the address bar of my internet browser. Maybe yours is different. You’ll be asked for a username and password.

2. I looked for the link on it that says: 运行状态 or something akin to ’state of connection.’

3. There will be a part of it that will display the state of your WAN connection. If you’re connected, there will be number indicating you IP Address etc, and an option to break the connection. If you’re not connected there won’t be numbers, and an option to connect.

4. Choose the option to connect i.e. 连接

5. Try using your internet browser again. Sometimes for me, just coming to this site gets the connection going already. Don’t why, but worth the try.
