Northeast Jiaozi
Oct 7th, 2006 under Food (Hanzhong Road Stretch)

This place sucks. Northeast Jiaozi 东北菜饺子馆 [dong1bei3cai4jiao3zi3guan3] is the name.
First of all, for reasonable restaurant-type food, you’re better off going to the korean restaurant few doors away on the same side of the street.
Next, the people who wait on you are absolutely sloppy. I’ve seen the girl unintentionally stick her thumb into the rice she’s carrying over to you and intentionally scrape off the rice stuck on her finger back into the bowl just before putting it on the table for your heavenly consumption. As they serve the dishes, they would have a cell-phone in hand, so much for service etiquette.
Last of all, the amount of msg they put in my dish was almost poisonous. I left the place with a bitter taste of monosodium glutamate a.k.a 味精 [wei4jing1] in my mouth, that even a saltwater gargle couldn’t rid me of.
Of the foreigners who frequent the most, most of them hail from the nearby Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. My friends, please, be safe! Stay away from this place!
