Les 5 Sens (乐尚法国餐厅) opened in early 2006 and started with a french student as a cook. Then the owners got this place on Hankou road and that’s how it started. As we can expect, the food they serve is French.
This includes stuff like Lorraine’s Quiche, Foie Gras, Snail’s and Confit of Lamb.

- This is a French restaurant along Hankou Road - the road that comes from the Nanda campus to intersect with Shanghai Road.
As far as I’m concerned the food was excellent. The owner is a French guy and his Chinese wife. The chef is French. They serve everything from escargots to great meat dishes to excellent salads. The entrance is kinda nondescript, but very quaint nonetheless…
My favorite dish is the black pepper rump and I like it with the Chilean wines that they also serve there…
I’ve tried a variety of their salads, and especially like (but forget the name of) the the one that they serve warm. I’ts under Salads in the menu and it’s number is #9…
And if you like snails, there’s the escargot…

餐厅位于北京东路和平大厦旁的兰家庄3号，300平米双层以老式民国loft建筑为主题的特色餐厅。装饰风格比较温馨优雅。它是原汉口路上的一家开了很多年的法国乐尚餐厅新开的分店。大厨是地道的法国大厨，开胃菜和主菜都很正宗，是典型的法式做法。红酒香槟都选自法国。置身其中有如参加一个“盛大的典雅派对”，气氛“超好”。欣赏欣赏油画，在台子边喝喝酒、和艺术家或朋友们聊聊天，穿着圣诞宝贝服饰的美女分发糖果小礼品。。。。。交通停车: 旁边的和平大厦停车场还是比较方便。一般星期六星期天非工作日都没什么人停车。

and i can tell you that it is not so good.
It looks and taste like family cooking, I can do the same at home.
for China it is not so bad, but globally it is not so good
Since the place opened, the quality is going down and down and the prices up and up.
I have to admit that the service is really good, the waitress are working with foreign standards, this is nice.
A new french one opened recently, and is really good. The name is LA Table De Mr Eiffel, more expansive but real high class french food, and a nice selection of wines.

Yeah, this restaurant is excellent - the menu changes often, but when they have the lamb, duck or chicken dishes nab ‘em as they’re really good.
Absolutely the best food in Nanjing. A bit more expensive than Soulmate, which is around the corner and also has good food, but in the end if you want delicious, FRESH (Don’t know what M. was talking about) food this is the place. Excellent atmosphere, good service, great food.
I recommend the 78 yuan set menu. Not TOO expensive and you get a ton of delicious food. I’ve had lasagna all over the world (including Italy) and am always surprised that the best lasagna I’ve ever had is at a tiny restaurant in the middle of China!
Due to some allergy, I always have to ask to prepare food without garlic (yes, really!). The chef was not very cooperative, refused to prepare a dish for me that I wished to have. Instead, he told me to take the duck or I couldn’t eat anything. Well, the duck was average, service (which includes the chef) abysmally bad. This incident showed me that obviously all things are previously prepared, no fresh food available there. An absolute turn-off for my taste buds. Won’t go there anymore!
Christmas is around the corner. We will be accepting reservations for Christmas Set Dinner starting 10th December 2008. Welcome again.

i ate the duck dish, which was nice, and the steak’s good. recommend these two meat dishes. also tried the leek soup which was good. the bread too…….
Good Place with real traditional french dishes.
It seems that they have some new dishes from the beginning of November.
yes, the warm salad dish is something like ‘vosgienne salad’, the second to last on the salad’s list. love it! was just there a couple of days back.
