Talking

May 31st, 2009 under Food (Nanda/Nanshida Area)

“Talking”is right across from the Nanshida gate and behind the beer drinking sidewalk. The staff is great, the food nice, and the beer drinking atmosphere gets better and better.

There is nice little patio to sit outside during the summer if you don’t like everyone you know walking by you on the sidewalk.  Go in and check it out.

5 People Left Stuff Behind »

  1. It’s a great place!

I have to say I’ve never agreed with anything you say and I go to Skyways regularly. I think the food is tasty and reasonably priced. I wouldn’t mind seeing a few more hearty meal choices on the menu, but that’s really only because I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ever had there.

I’ve always found the staff quite friendly, and as for the one monopodic gentleman sitting by the door taking your sandwich tax…well if you go there so infrequently maybe you could overlook the occassiopnal quai

  2. oh do i detest that place. i eat there but also because it’s the last resort.
the food is ok. the prices are steep.
and the two worst things are:
    1. the terrible service those old chinese hags offer without a smile, like we’re making life hard for them even as they earn out money.
    2. the handsome looking gentleman who sits next to the door with an outstretched hand behaving like he doesn’t take in at least 300kuai a day.

  3. 22RMB for a cheese-steak sandwich with all the trimmings served with chips and salad - much better than the ones in Subway and half the price - mmm…

  4. not a bad bacon eggs, toast, potatoes, on the cheap

  5. Yep, Talking is great - the owner, Jackie, is really accommodating and treats his customers well, although the place does get run over by too many loud/jingoistic/xenophobic Koreans sometimes, the prices are tight and the service is stellar. Definitely worth a look-see.
