Burger Corner

Nov 2nd, 2008 under Food (Nanda/Nanshida Area)

Only one year back, you had people asking online where you could find good burgers. Well, not burger king burgers, but real burgers…

Burger Corner started in 2008 and end in 2009. It was started by some overseas Chinese guy called Riely. They served premium burgers at premium prices - really good stuff. But. At those prices, people didn’t wanna bite. And so this place no longer is.

It’s now run by some local people who serve pizzas and pasta. But I’d rather hang out at Soulmate if you ask me.

Address: #105 Shanghai Road (上海路81号105号)

Just remember it’s up the hill from Beijing Peking Duck. It’s actually the highest point on the precipice overlooking Shanghai Road.

  1. As well, Burger Corner is closed, but now it’s a new eatery, I don’t know what though - but they took down the “burger” part of the sign so I doubt they still serve those.

  2. Sucks but true. bloody brits…

  3. Burger Corner has been closed since Spring Festival ended I think. A real pity, too, as they had the best burgers in Nanjing by far.

  4. THIS PLACE SUCKS the meat is NEVER cooked fully I have tryed it many times and there is ALWAYS a problem!!! maby the Chinese can enjoy this food but they also enjoy the pizza from pizza hut here in nanjing!
Dont waste you time or hard earned cash!

  5. WHERES THE BEETROOT??? its a yanky burger place but the chinese guy working there is a brit… it makes me confused

  6. I also like Burger King, not really fair to lump with McDonalds. McD’s and everything else I’ve had in China can’t touch a whopper with bacon and cheese. But I will give this place a try and let you know how it goes. I read in Map that he cooks the burgers using an oven or something along those lines, so interested to see how that affects things taste wise.

  7. Funny how this place is ‘up the hill from Beijing Peking Duck’. Not much of a landmark considering that Blue Sky is right next door - and doesn’t help much if you’re coming south on Shanghai Lu. Either way, if you have to walk past Blue Sky to go up the hill -why bother and just go into Blue Sky anyway. If you are coming south and you reach the ‘Beijing Peking Duck’, again, save yourself the walk and just go into Blue Sky.

    AIMHO, of course.

However, I might just give it a try and hope to be pleasantly surprised - PLEASE!

  8. Burger king is a good burger. :) (compared to Mc’Donalds and 99.99% of China)
How much is this one? :)

  9. the best burger in town. big, extra big, Manhatten…….
