Mooncake Festival (in Chinese)
在中国，中秋节（Zhong1Qiu1Jie2）是仅次于 (a near second to) 春节（Spring Festival）的传统节日。
每年农历(Lunar calendar) 8月15日，这时是一年秋季的中期(Mid-Autumn)，月亮(Moon)也最大最亮（Biggest & Brightest）。有很多与它相关的中国民间故事(folk tales)：
- 后羿射日（Hou Yi shooting the sun）
- 嫦娥奔月（Chang E flying to the moon）
- 吴刚伐树 （Wu Gang chopping the tree） 。
中秋节起源于(originate from) 祖先(ancestor)“拜月” (worshipping the moon) 活动，盛行(fashion) 在明朝( in Ming Dynasty)。中秋节有传统习俗(Tradition Customs)。
- 吃月饼(Have the Moon Cake)是传统习俗之一。月饼是由馅(Stuffing)和面粉(Flour)做成(Make)的，象征（Signify）着团圆(family reunion)、美满（happiness）。
- 您在超市（Supermarket）都能购买(buy)到各种各样（all kinds of）传统的五仁月饼（Melon seeds, Almonds, Peanut, Peach, Gingili Moon Cake）、蛋黄月饼(Golden Yolk Moon Cake)、豆沙月饼(Sweetened Bean Paste Moon Cake)、火腿月饼（Ham）。
- 您也可以在哈根达斯（Haagen-Dazs）品尝(Taste)到独特的(Special)冰淇淋月饼(Ice-Cream Moon Cake)。
另一个习俗就是中秋赏月（Enjoy the glorious full moon）。吃完晚饭（after dinner），与您的朋友或家人（with your friends or family）一起出门赏月。夫子庙秦淮河畔(Qinhuai river, Confucious Temp) 、莫愁湖(Mochou Lake)，紫金山(Purple Mountain)和玄武湖(Xuanwu Lake)都是很不错的选择(not bad choices at all)。
