Hanzhong Gate Square

Hanzhong Gate Square 汉中门广场 is where one of the gates of the old city wall reside.
What’s nice about this Hanzhong Gate Square is the people gathering in the area. Before the dawn has broken multitudes would have gathered here in separate groups to participate in group exercises like Taichi, Yijinjing, Fan-dancing and what not. Same too around 7pm in the evenings.

Later in the nice, especially after the cold of winter, you might hear old people taking turns at singing Chinese oldies. Some may not be of pop-star material, but you’ll be surprised at how the people who can actually sing!
A great place for soaking up the humanity of chinese culture…
Right opposite the “park” is Nanjing’s University of Chinese Medicine…
